Hi Melissa well I got home from hospital today. My sugery went well it was suppose to be a 3 hour surgery but it only took an hour and a half. Dr coster did a great job he cut from knees up to groining area then half way around to back of leg. The incision site looks great. I was going to get to come home yesterday which was sunday but that nasty snow storm kept me there the DR was nice and kept me so my family wouldn't have to drive an hour and a half. I am glad he kept me because when my son picked me up there was 30 cars in the ditch on interstate 80 and 4 went in the ditch in front of him on his way there. My oldest son told me another way to get home without takng interstate it was much better thank God. I had an appt on the 21st to get some staples out but it was at 3 pm I would of had no way I need mornings if I would of been able to get there I could have stopped in to see you but my appt is rescheduled for the 26th and I am sure you will be home by then. I wish you the best the nurses there are great. Take care.

Hi, I am new to all of this. I was wondering if you can tell me what all you have to do in order to qualify for the lap band surgery. Thanks Brenda

Go to your loacal DHS office and file for Medicaid. It is possible that you could qualify. If not for straight Mediciad possibly the Medically Needy program. Then you have to pay a small portion depending on your household income.
GOOD LUCK!!

Anyone?? I'm having surgery on the 21st in Grinnell. My hubby and mom will be there with me the day of surgery, but after that I'll be on my own.
